The seven-piece reggae roots band based in Beds, Bucks & Herts is headed by singer and songwriter Wayne McArthur, ably backed by drum, bass, guitar, keyboard, percussion rhythm section and vocal harmonies. The band have toured extensively throughout the UK since the early 2000’s. They’ve performed at various festivals countrywide, notably the Willowman Festival, Strawberry Fair Festival in Cambridge and the Paradise Fest in Bury St. Edmunds plus a regular at various national carnival live stages performing the artists messages in elements of heartbeat vibrations The band’s genre of roots rock reggae carries a constant theme of cultural and spiritual goodwill, which has been the hallmark of Wayne’s musical career and philosophy – as epitomized by songs such as Rainbow, Victory Dance, and the anthem Universal Harmony the artist concept for the first album debut in early 90's also the Dread Music Affairs a vocal and dub-wise CD set of Wayne music journeys via the top UK studio's as the Love, Faith and Belief masterful encounters with Russ Disciples who's works is sheer UK production Sterling at it's best!!!
The bands’ repertoire demonstrates the timeless nature of the singer protest material with the set incorporating new, fresh, cutting-edge original songs along with decades of passionate live show experience combined with Wayne’s production and engineering expertise that he coned starting late 70's as a younger looking into the aspects of starting a record label production on his sound system name MoonWaveMusic Wayne has worked with several producers and companies including Russ D, Steve Vibronics, Dougie Conscious & Dennis Blakamix in addition to engineering and releasing original songs on his own label, M.W.M-Records and recently he created a big impression in the genre when Victory Dance was released through his label on a French label Reggae Remedy as a roots reggae sound dance anthem. The aim of the artist and his band Universal Players is to merger with the now era of reggae new foundation music globally for this revitalized scene to reach people of different origins. The wider appeal of the band music is evident by the club gigs and festivals they’ve played over the years with great flair, entertaining local and international supporters.
Giving the people 100% is important to the lead man of this band, Wayne MC who has never strayed from his ideals, delivering the songs that he so deeply believes in and is avidly passionate about. His message calls for better social living worldwide regardless of race, class origins or gender.
